Customer Success Ref: ZG-US-CSM-003
Founding Customer Success Manager, AI for Fleet Operations, San Francisco
The Role
A ten-person, seed-stage company in San Francisco builds an AI agent for trucking carriers. The agent works across the systems a fleet back office already runs, including the TMS, telematics, safety and dispatch.
This is the first Customer Success hire. There is no CS team and no playbook. You own the customer after the sale, get new accounts live, and work with the deployed engineers to widen what the agent handles for each customer.
What You Will Do
- Own the post-sale relationship: regular meetings, adoption and usage growth
- Onboard new customers from kickoff workshop to daily use
- Spot new use cases inside existing accounts and get them built with the deployed engineers
- Take inbound support requests, resolve what you can, and hand the rest to engineering with proper context
- Build the CS playbook from scratch and automate the repetitive parts as the customer base grows
What You Need
- 2 to 5 years in customer success, implementation or onboarding at a B2B SaaS startup
- Hands-on experience setting up integrations and API keys
- AI tools already part of how you work each day
- Experience carrying a high volume of customer meetings every week
- The ability to talk to non-technical operators and to executives
- Several accounts on the go at once without dropping detail
- Based in San Francisco, in the office five days a week
Useful, Not Required
- Having built a customer success function at an early-stage company
- Experience supporting AI products or complex technical systems
Package
- Base salary: US$120,000 to US$160,000
- On-target earnings: US$150,000 to US$200,000
- Equity: included
- Work rights: US work authorisation required. Visa transfers (OPT, H-1B transfer) are considered
- Location: on-site, San Francisco
