Associate Account Manager, Credit Union Fintech, New York
The Role
A 16-person, seed-stage fintech in New York builds a marketing and engagement platform for credit unions. It is hiring three Associate Account Managers.
Each one runs a book of around 30 credit union partners. The job blends customer success and account management: you onboard the partner, get them using the platform, and grow the account. Many of these customers have a small marketing team or none, so you end up as their marketing coach as well as their account manager.
What You Will Do
- Run a book of around 30 partners, meeting each one every two weeks
- Move each partner through its adoption milestones on the platform
- Onboard new partners, including implementation and data mapping with the product team
- Coach customers on their marketing where they lack the people or the time
- Plan across the whole portfolio so no account goes quiet
- Work to commission-based adoption goals, with weekly strategy sessions and regular one-to-ones
What You Need
- 1 to 3 years in a client-facing role: customer success, account management, consulting or sales
- Post-sale account work in B2B SaaS, covering renewals, expansion and retention
- Working knowledge of a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- The habit of starting the upsell conversation yourself
- Comfort in a 16-person company
- In the New York office five days a week. Relocation to New York is fine
Who This Does Not Suit
- People whose experience is new-business sales only, with no post-sale work
- People who have only worked in enterprise environments
- People who need close supervision to hit a target
Useful, Not Required
- Experience with marketing automation or customer engagement platforms
Package
- Base salary: US$80,000 to US$90,000
- On-target earnings: US$100,000 to US$110,000
- Equity: included
- Work rights: US citizen or permanent resident. No visa sponsorship or transfers
- Location: on-site, New York
